Drafting automation

Shop drawings from your 3D model, drafted the way a draftsman would.

Detailwright turns models into issued sheets: dimensioned elevations, section and detail views, exploded isometrics with balloon leaders, and cut lists. Every sheet follows your house standard.

What you get on the sheet

Dimensioned views

At least three elevations, with dimensions taken from the model rather than typed in. Section views are scaled large enough to read.

Clean leaders

Leaders leave each feature at 45° and turn horizontal before the text. They never cross, and the annotation text lines up.

Exploded isometrics

Assembly and exploded isometrics, with balloon callouts and dashed lines showing where each part connects.

Cut lists and BOMs

Quantity, type, dimensions and length on the order sheet. Hardware is listed separately in the same table.

Your title block

A2 sheets, the ISO 5455 architectural scale range, and a title block that carries your company details.

Draw and flag

Where the source is unclear, the best reading is drawn and every assumption is listed for you to check.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a project

Name it, pick the drawing type and note the standard to follow.

  2. 2

    Send the model

The geometry comes from your 3D model, so nothing is invented.

  3. 3

    Review the flags

Check the listed assumptions before anything is cut.

  4. 4

    Issue the sheets

Get drawing sheets ready for the workshop, plus renders for marketing.

Built for fabricators

Metal and aluminium fabrication, T-slot framing, signage, joinery and fit-out. It suits any shop that turns models into drawings every week and wants every sheet to look the same.
